Frequently Asked Questions
Here you can look through some questions we often get asked for more information about our dog boarding services. Everyone wants to feel informed and comfortable about a dog boarding service before dropping off their fur baby! Please let us know if you have questions that don't appear on the list!

How Far in Advance Should I Book?We recommend booking as soon as you make vacation plans to ensure you get the kennel size you would like and/or to ensure we have availability.

Do All Dogs Have to Show Proof of Vaccinations?Yes, we also recommend you provide a copy of records prior to checking in to ensure a smooth and quick check in process.

How Are All the Animals Housed?We have 3 different sized kennel options, 4x4, 4x6, and 4x8. Each kennel has an elevated bed for your furbabies. Each kennel has 2 bowls, 1 for food and 1 for water. We can also provide an additional food bowl if same family dogs are being housed together.

Will My Pet Share Spaces with Other Dogs?Only same family dogs can be housed together.

Is the Facility Loud or Are There Other Potential Sources of Anxiety?When boarding there are always chances of higher anxiety with a new smells and sounds. To help reduce that feeling for your pups, we recommend coming to tour and meeting our staff before their stay. We also play music and nature sounds throughout the day and night to help keep the environment calming.

Are the Kennels Exposed to the Outdoors?The kennels are indoors, and when its time for potty breaks/outside time, we have 3 outdoor dog runs, 2 are 10x30 and 1 is 10x15.

How is Waste Managed?We bag waste in dog bags and then it is put in an additional enclosed garbage can that is located in another area away from where the outdoor and indoor kennels are located.

What Kind of Food Will Be Provided for My Dog?We do not provide food for dogs during their stay. If there is an emergency, we have additional dog food. Pending the length of stay, there may be additional expenses for food provided by Unleashed Pet Services.

Will Your Kennels Fit My Dog?As we have kennels/suites of 3 different sizes, we are confident that one of our kennels will fit your dog. The owners of Unleashed Pet Services have five dogs, 2 Great Danes, 1 Collie, 1 miniature Cocker Spaniel, and 1 long haired Dachshund. Our goal from the outset was to make sure we had accommodations that were comfortable for every size dog breed.

How Long Can My Dog Stay?We do not currently have a limit to how long your dog can stay but for visits that are longer than 30 days there may be a deposit required. For stays over this length of time, we recommend reaching out and inquiring ahead of time.

Will My Dog Be Put in a Kennel All Day?We have 4 rotations of outside time throughout the day. We strive to have them outside for longer periods of time while also ensuring that each guest gets the same amount of time outside. We continue to come up with ideas to help make your pets stay more enriching, fun and safe.

Can You Accommodate Dogs with Special Needs?We can accommodate dogs with special needs. We recommend reaching out prior to your visit so we can learn about your pet and ensure that we can properly meet their needs during their stay.

What Additional Services Do You Provide?Currently, we have the following additional services: 30 minute walk for $15/per walk, per dog, and an additional $10 charge for afternoon pickups of dogs that were dropped off in the AM timeframe. This is due to pet(s) staying an additional 6-8 hours longer. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for future additions to our services as we strive to make your pets stay fun and safe.

Can I Take a Tour?Yes! We encourage scheduling a tour so that you and your pet(s) can meet us and see the facility prior to the stay. Please head over to our Tour Page to schedule a visit.

Do You Have an Emergency Vet Available?Yes, we have Dr. Shelly Ried from Jesup Veterinary Clinic.

Do You Have Insurance to Cover Eventualities?Yes.

How Often Are the Kennels Cleaned?We spot check daily and throughout the day. When any visible messes like hair, clutter, and/or accidents occur, they are cleaned up. We clean/mop kennels after each guest checks out. We also have weekly and monthly cleanings to ensure our facility is clean and safe for your pets.

Does the Facility Have Climate Control?Yes, we have an air to air exchange system that is always on. When we began our adventure with our facility, we worked with Independence Plumbing, Heating and Cooling who brought an engineer in to design a system that would meet our needs, which is clean and safe, with a priority on smell and infection control. This system we have is designed for the max number of dogs we would have, and to reduce the chances and/or spread of infection.

How Secure Are the Kennels and Fences?Our kennels are secure. When we do rotations outside your dogs are supervised during their outside time 90% of the time. The 10% they are not are when dogs are being rotated in and out of the kennels. This is to further ensure the safety of your pet(s).

How Often is the Drinking Water Changed?We change water regularly throughout the day as well as refill the water regularly throughout the day and as needed.

Is There Webcam Access to My Dog’s Kennel?No, we do not currently have webcams at this time.

How Do You Keep to Each Dog’s Feeding and Sleeping Schedules?We do have a routine for dogs when they stay with us. We try our best to keep their current schedule but as we have our own routine here it is to further reduce anxiety with change. Dogs thrive on routine and adapt to the routine of our facility quite nicely.

Can I Meet the Staff Who Will Be Looking After My Dog?Absolutely and we encourage it.

Can I Book My Dog in for a One-Night Stay to See How He Likes It?Absolutely.

Are Any Other Services Provided Like Grooming, Nail Clipping, and Bathing?At this time we do not offer grooming of any nature. However, we have goals in the future of offering several other pet related services.

What Are the Hours of Pickup and Drop Offs?We have pickup/drop off hours daily. They are 8:00AM-10:00AM and 4:00PM-6:00PM.
