Special Pet Care & Property Damage Policy

Policy Statement

At Unleashed Pet Services, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all pets entrusted to our care. In order to maintain the integrity of our facilities and ensure the well-being of both pets and staff, we have implemented the following policies regarding property damage caused by boarding pets and the provision of special care for pets with unique needs.

Property Damage Responsibility

Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets to Unleashed Pet Services' property during the boarding period, unless the damage is due to negligence on the part of our staff. If any property is damaged to the extent of needing replacement, repair, or redoing, owners will be held accountable for covering the associated costs. This policy is in place to uphold the quality and safety of our facilities for all pets under our care.

Special Care and Behavioral Provision

At Unleashed Pet Services, we are committed to accommodating the unique needs of every pet while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all. Owners are required to inform us of any health conditions, personality traits, or behaviors that may impact their pet’s care, including but not limited to:

• Special Needs: Conditions that limit a pet’s ability to independently perform activities, such as walking outside for bathroom breaks or requiring assistance due to mobility issues.

• Aggressive or Dangerous Behaviors: Traits or behaviors that could pose a risk to staff, other pets, or the facility, such as biting, lunging, growling, or other aggressive actions.

Additional Care Requirements and Fees

 

If a pet requires care beyond our standard services, the following policies apply:

1. Additional Assistance for Special Needs Pets:

• Pets requiring physical assistance, such as being carried outside, or other forms of specialized care will incur an additional fee of $50 per day, per dog.

2. Management of Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs:

• Pets demonstrating aggressive or dangerous behavior may require special handling, such as additional staffing, etc.. An additional fee of $50 per day, per dog, will be applied to cover the extra time, resources, and precautions required.

3. Immediate Contact and Removal:

• If a pet’s behavior escalates to the point where it cannot be managed safely, the owner will be contacted to arrange for the pet’s immediate removal.
